Name: Kanisha Gudger

Title: Talent Community Manager

"The best thing about working at Jitjatjo is I have the freedom to speak my mind and my point of view is valued."

What do you do at Jitjatjo and how long have you been with the company?

I am a Talent Community Manager. I have been with the company for 1 year and 8 months. My job in a nutshell is to make sure that our Talent is being taken care of.

What is your typical day like?

A typical day for me is waking up at 7:25 am and getting my son ready for his Zoom school. Then I will make us breakfast and a cup of coffee. Then it's 9 am and time to get to work. First, I check my slack notifications to make sure there isn’t anything I missed or something pressing that needs to be handled. Then it is just making sure Talent is getting to gigs, answering any questions or concerns, and being available to my team in case the need arises.

How would you describe Jitjatjo in 3 words?

The thing I love most about working at Jitjatjo is the flexibility of my workspaces. I can make anywhere my office.

What do you think makes a great team?

What I think makes a good team is everyone being willing to help each other. Also understanding that no one is perfect and when someone on your team isn’t having the best day to be there to help them.

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

My biggest achievement to date is recently marrying my wife Jasmin on 01-30-2021!

What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?

My best career lesson I learned is at the end of the day it's just a job. I will give my all while at work but don’t let work stress you to the point of unhappiness.

What has been your proudest moment at Jitjatjo?

My proudest moment at Jitjatjo was going to our onsite events and watching our talent in action.

What do you hope to achieve in the coming months, year(s)?

In the coming months, I hope to be able to get back to some sort of normalcy with the year we have had. I also hope the hospitality industry will open back up so I can see our talent in action again.

I love working at Jitjatjo because it feels like a family, we may not always like each other but we love each other.
