Name: Chris Rougeux
Title: Enterprise Business Development Manager
What do you do at Jitjatjo and how long have you been with the company?
I’ve been an Enterprise Business Development Manager for 1 and a half years.
What is your typical day like?
My morning starts by getting my kids up at 7am, helping with breakfast and getting them ready to go to school for the day. Then it’s 8am, time to get myself set up to start my workday. First I check my calendar, make any updates to my plan for the day and begin to work towards finishing whatever goals or activities I have planned to prospect and drive sales activity. I am always focused on prospecting, following up and researching new business opportunities. This could be creating new relationships with new clients or catching up with my existing clients to strengthen their commitment to working with us.
How would you describe Jitjatjo in 3 words?
Fun, Innovative, Fast-paced
Why did you choose Jitjatjo?
I was introduced to Jitjatjo by our VP of Sales, Marketing & Client Success, Heath Shatouhy. I had worked with Heath previously, he spoke highly about the company and shared his vision of what he wanted to accomplish. I wanted to be a part of that and I knew that this would be a great organization to continue to grow professionally.
What do you love most about working at Jitjatjo?
I enjoy the fast-paced environment where every day will be different and have its own unique set of challenges. I also like the team atmosphere where we are all working together to build something great with this company. Everyone is willing to help you or put in the extra effort for the win.
What do you think makes a great team?
Similar to what I mentioned earlier, having team members who share the same vision of building something that is best in class and having the will to put in the extra effort that takes an organization from good to great.
What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?
It hasn’t happened yet, my biggest achievement will be seeing my kids grow up to become successful, happy adults.
What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
Listen more, ask the tough questions and a “no” is not a “never"
What has been your proudest moment at Jitjatjo?
Seeing this company come out of the biggest global crisis stronger than ever.
What do you hope to achieve in the coming months, year(s)?
Looking forward to contributing to the success of our organization as we transition back to some level of normalcy. Helping our clients (old and new) get back to work and recover from the impact the last year and a half has had on all of us.
