In this segment of our A Day in the Life series, where we recognize some of Jitjatjo’s incredible Change Agents, we meet Jitjatjo Client Success Manager, Rocco. Rocco gives us a glimpse into his typical day and why he loves working at Jitjatjo.

Name: Rocco Donatiello

Title: Client Success Manager

The best thing about working at Jitjatjo is being able to work for a company whose mission is to help people, and to be able to contribute to human betterment.

What do you do at Jitjatjo and how long have you been with the company?

I am a Client Success Manager and I have been with Jitjatjo for a little over one and a half years. My job is to manage relationships with our Small and Medium-sized clients while simultaneously working with our Community Management team to ensure that the clients are providing an attractive and hospitable place for our talent to work.

What is your typical day like?

Wake up at around 6-7 am. I’ll grab a cup of coffee and try to work out or read a little bit. Once the workday starts, I will check to see which of my clients have jobs for that day and monitor those to make sure they are all set. I then have a few hours blocked out every day to reach out to clients we may not have heard from in a while to see if there is anywhere we can provide value. After that, I will take some time to research anything online that may suggest a client may have a need in the future (job postings, upcoming events posted to their website or social media, etc.). While doing all of this, I will assist our Client Success Representatives and Community Management team with any requests they have for me.

How would you describe Jitjatjo in 3 words?

Innovative, Engaging, Gritty

Why did you choose Jitjatjo?

I was introduced to Jitjatjo by our VP of Sales, Marketing & Client Success, Heath Shatouhy. I had worked with Heath previously, and when he spoke so highly of the company, I knew it would be a great place to work. My interview process only further solidified all of this when I got a chance to speak with some of the team members and learn more about Jitjatjo and its mission.

What do you love most about working at Jitjatjo?

The team here. Everybody here is extremely humble, and no task is too small for anyone. I cannot think of a better group of people to work with and learn from.

What do you think makes a great team?

A great team consists of individuals who are willing to sacrifice reaching their own goals to help other team members accomplish theirs.

What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

Working with my sister on a fundraiser to help build a new workout facility for her students at an inner-city school and exceeding our fundraising goal.

What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?

It’s better to say “No” than to make a promise that you ultimately can’t fulfill.

What has been your proudest moment at Jitjatjo?

I am most proud to have witnessed and participated in Jitjatjo’s perseverance through the pandemic and to have been able to contribute to our success as we return to normalcy. Seeing everyone rally together in order to achieve success during a dark time was really motivating to be a part of.

What do you hope to achieve in the coming months, year(s)?

I would like to continue building up our book of small and medium businesses while also enhancing my skills to take on bigger projects. As things return to normal, I think we’ll see a lot of big changes in the Hospitality space, so I’m excited to see where that goes and to figure out new and innovative ways to provide value to clients.
