In this segment of our A Day in the Life series, where we recognize some of Jitjatjo’s incredible Change Agents, we meet Shai, Talent Acquisition Associate. Shai gives us a glimpse into her typical day recruiting new workers onto our platform.
Name: Shai Epps
Title: Talent Acquisition Associate
I am a recruiter of Talent and have been with the company for 7 months.
A typical day for me is always going to look different based on the Talent pool, but it normally involves interviewing on Zoom and outreach to get people hired or interviewing with us.
Modern, Superb, and Flexible (no pun intended)
During the interview process, I felt like I got a real glimpse of the work culture and what it would be like to work with the company.
I love the laid back atmosphere and appreciate having a voice that is actually heard.
I think good work ethic, communication, and a few doses of humor and sarcasm make a great team.
My greatest achievement was being the small town Southern girl who decided the best decision for her future was to leave “home”. That decision alone has changed my life for the better personally, financially, professionally, spiritually, etc.
Don’t be afraid. A small statement, but it could be applied to so many different situations. Don’t be afraid to ask for PTO. Don’t be afraid to try something new. Don’t be afraid to suggest a different idea than the norm.
The successful launch of the Houston market and getting its first gig filled.
I hope to achieve growth and self care in the coming months while enjoying the journey along the way.
