Say hello to Alena! Alena has been with Flex since 2023. What caught her eye about Jitjatjo was the ease of use and diversity of gigs offered to her. Alena’s proudest accomplishment is being a mother and she loves spending time with her family. When she isn’t working gigs, Alena enjoys making her own music! Alena’s best piece of advice to Jitjatjo newbies is to show up on time with the proper attire and a good attitude.

What interested you about working with Jitjatjo?

What caught my attention about Jitjatjo was the flexibility that it offered, I was able to work gigs when I had the time. I also enjoyed the fact that there was a wide variety of gigs available in different industries. When I started working with Jitjatjo I loved how easy the app was to navigate.

What’s your favorite gig you have worked so far and why? Tell us about it.

My favorite gig I have worked so far was bartending at The Club Quarters Hotel. The staff there are helpful and very friendly, it's amazing!

What's the best part about making your own schedule?

What I enjoy most about being able to create my own schedule is that my time is in my control. I am a mother of 2 kids, with one of them being in school I am able to work around his schedule which is great.

What’s a typical work day look like for you?

I show up to my gig dressed in the proper attire and ready to go, I set up the bar for the day and head off for my lunch break. I return for happy hour where I am responsible for setting up the lounge, preparing light bites, and making drinks. Last call is at 10:30, I start breaking down the setup and cleaning up. Finally I count out my cash drawer, close up, and head home.

What’s the one piece of advice you’d give a new Jitjatjo teammate?

I would tell them to show up on time with the proper attire and a good attitude! You never know what gig may turn into a permanent position so put your best foot forward.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Becoming a mother and having a song I created receive over 200k streams.

With a flexible schedule, how do you like to spend your time when you're not working?

I love spending my free time taking care of my family and making new music.
