We believe everyone deserves a work environment that welcomes them wholeheartedly, especially within the dynamic hospitality industry. Supporting the LGBTQIA+ community is not limited to Pride Month, it's a year-round commitment. Discover some meaningful organizations to contribute to show  your support!

GLSEN: GLSEN is an American education organization working to end discrimination, harassment, and bullying based on sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression and to prompt LGBT cultural inclusion and awareness in K-12 schools.

The Trevor Project: The Trevor Project is an American nonprofit organization founded in 1998. Focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth.

Ali Forney Center: The Ali Forney Center, based in New York City, is the largest LGBT community center helping LGBTQ homeless youth in the United States.

I want to support a LGBTQIA+ business.

Elevating LGBTQIA+ owned businesses is a great method of engaging in Pride Month and beyond. Whether you have the financial capacity to make a purchase, or can simply help spread the word amongst your network, every bit of support contributes to their success.

Wildfang: Wildfang’s mission is to rethink gender norms and how they show up in fashion. They embrace inclusivity and strive to create a more diverse and equitable workplace for their employees. Additionally they have given back over $750k to good causes like ProjectQ, ACLU, Planned Parenthood, Tegan & Sara Foundation, RAICES, Girls Inc, and many more.

Queer | Art: Queer|Art is an artist-led and artist-centered organization, connecting and empowering LGBTQ+ artists at all levels of their careers. Their mission is to provide individuals within our community with the tools, resources, and guidance they need to achieve success and visibility for their work at the highest levels of their field.

Loyalty Bookstore: Loyalty was founded by Hannah Oliver Depp, a Black and Queer Bookseller who has spent her career working to diversify the book industry in order for it to better serve the powerful communities of color and queerness. They believe in creating an inclusive, welcoming environment and providing books and goods for the home because.

Learning about Pride helps us understand each other better, stand up for fairness, bust myths, cheer on our LGBTQIA+ friends, and make sure everyone feels welcome and accepted, which makes our society a cooler place to live.

Inclusive language: It's important to always use inclusive language, Inclusive language can help to promote and embed equality, diversity and inclusion. Read this article to learn how to use inclusive language. 

Pronouns: Sharing your pronouns and asking others to share their pronouns is a great step to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, read this article to learn the importance of pronouns and how to use pronouns. You can add your pronouns to your social media, email signature, and name tags.
